Battery voltage

Hi,

sorry to bother, I just got my Pyra, putting in the battery and pressing the power button shows no reaction. Measuring the battery voltage yields 0V between + and -. Is this normal or is the battery defective? When operating the Pyra via USB it claims that the battery is at 5%, but "not charging" and the power button LED flashes between green and beige. It draws about 0.6 Amps.

When I measure my Pyra's battery it shows 3,74V so I assume it shouldn't be 0V.
I measure both outer contacts as seen as - / + on the black cover.

Hmm, now it's back to red-blinking when off, then spontaneously booting up (blinking red/green) and blinking beige(yellow?) green when booted up. Also the battery is kinda warm. It's a brand new device that only arrived yesterday.

How can I find out? The lid certainly is a tight fit and presses against the battery, and the contacts seem fine. Measuring within each of the 3 contacts gives continuity.

If it feels tight it should be fine. Does waggling the device around with some force show more unexpected behaviour?

Can the Pyra run without battery inserted? IIRC not all of the Pandoras could do that. Worth a try if it's supposed to work.

Trying to flex the device doesn't seem to do anything, it just continues running. When the problem appeared and I plugged in the device, it would randomly turn itself on.

For me the Pyra turns on when the battery is removed and a USB charger is plugged-in, tries to boot, but crashes. Probably because USB doesn't provide enough power for fully booting.

affirmative, ive tried different chargers and they crash at different points confirming more power= further boot.
I wonder if the charger or the port is the limit here tho.
this needs to have a software fix one day badly... likely if the cpu is set to a lower speed while booting it would work.
