Could someone tell me if there is a complete Spectrum Emulater out ?

By complete I mean a FULL keyboard layout and Save/load states.

I ask because I'm a huge Lords of Midnight fan (and Doomdark's Revenge)

and would love to be able to play them (and save my progress).

The Commodore 64 Emulater (Frodo) plays the games great, it just doesn't have Save states option.

Cheers.

definitely speccyal k as you can save the game

but i think you can only save each game to one file so try not to save after making a mistake as i ve done this a couple of times which meant i had to start over :(

the other thing to do would be to copy the save file straight away to another directory after saving so that you had a backup (using a file manager like GPFM)

oh yeah and read the manual.....

Yes, definitely only one save game, because the way games have to be saved (not only the cpu registers, but the whole speccy memory content, because in theory any ram memory location could have been changed) mean that saving 5 games slots would take five times the snapshot size on the smc ... Or I'm too lazy to find a way to do it more economically ... definitely a possibility too :)
