Yeah, I don't think it's that widespread in regular retailers, if it exists in any public shop shelf anywhere, that is.

I'd also encourage you to try out the homebrew on it if you do get it.

Actually in very rare instances they sell them in shops. Just like they were selling the giz in Times Square, NY. When I went to spain, there was one store that had it. But again its really really really rare. Do your research and you might be able to find one near you.

thanks for a fast reply i will be def getting one as i am a emultor fan
i love the old school games even more so from the 80s brings back good times i had in the arcades

I tried really hard to find them in U.S. brick and mortar stores but no luck. The closest I came was Fry's that sold NeoGeo Pocket clones with 5 carts for $50. I hate mail order but eventually gave up and got one from one of the popularly advertised online stores.

Well, how appropriate is that! Selling "the giz" in Times Square!

eww! :p

DaveC talked about a shop in "Stratford Square Mall" in Illinois that sells the GP2X. I live an hour away from it but whatever.

Modchipman in the US sells them. They are also available from their store in a mall near Chicago.

If there were a place, I would have one already. Then again, here in Oregon, the closest thing we have to an electronics store is Walmart. Thats the main reason the PSP sells more, its in Walmart.

In my town (nantes, france) there is a small videogame shop that sells GP2X, I got mine from it.

So I guess in most not-so-small town you'll manage to find a local VG shop selling them.
