Hi.

I'm gonna try to compile some programs.

As the Slackbuilds system rocks, i'm gonna use it.

But as i'm not a dev, i need some help.

I already got DJWillis's toolchain installed.

Here's the gkrellm Slackbuild source folder :

http://www.slackware...ce/xap/gkrellm/

A .tgz is generated, and making a .pnd from it will be easy.

But i need to adjust paths.

What should i change ?

What do i have to set before running this script ?

The Slackbuild :

Code:

Test-compiled without changing any paths.

Had a package, but no binary in it !

--EDIT :

Tried with xlockmore, but only produced a x86 executable...

Are the appropriate variables, like CC, CXX etc. set correctly to their arm-angstrom-linux-gnueabi counterparts, when you using he toolchain?

I used DJWillis's toolchain and i ran :

Code:
. /usr/local/angstrom/arm/environment-setup

Is it enough ?

the cortex-a8 should support armv4 instruction. hey debian armel _is_ using armv4 instruction set ;)

Anyway, DjWillis toolchain produce arm7a binaries so that's not your problem.

Well, using this script and your toolchain how do you proceed ?

I did this :

Removed arch part, letting only the EXPORT ARCH=arm

Modified :

Code:
INSTALLROOT=/mnt/utmp/gkrellm/usr \

INSTALLDIR=/mnt/utmp/gkrellm/usr/bin \

INCLUDEDIR=/mnt/utmp/gkrellm/usr/include \

MANDIR=/mnt/utmp/gkrellm/usr/man/man1 \

LOCALEDIR=/mnt/utmp/gkrellm/usr/share/locale \

PKGCONFIGDIR=/mnt/utmp/gkrellm/usr/lib${LIBDIRSUFFIX}/pkgconfig

The makepkg produced an archive, as usual, but there were no /usr/bin/gkrellm in it.
