I'm new around here and I was wondering why there was no forum for cygwin support. For the most part I prefer compiling my code on cygwin. I tried to use the linux sdk (on cygwin) but it seems the compiler is not stripping/creating the executable correctly.

Has anyone else seen this issue?
Has been able to fix this issue?

Thanks!

Not sure why you would be having problems as a lot of us use CygWin without issues (I do several build scripts for GP2X dev kits that are just great under CygWin, infact I do most of my dev on some of my CygWin boxes).

Are you looking to do GP32 or GP2X development.

Let me know and I will help you get started.

GP2X Development. I installed the the official GP2X linux SDK on cygwin but for some strange reason my binaries were way oversized. As for devtools should I be using a none official toolchain (like oopo's) or should the official one work on cygwin?

At the moment I'm using the official windows SDK and my binaries are working and are alot smaller.

I successfully used oopo's toolchain for a long time on cygwin, so it does in fact work.

EDIT: Heh, half a month old. Good thing this forum is never used.
