Well, there are benefits to being on github, such as being able to accept patches from other subscribed users easily, and some of the more prolific porters from this community (as well as goldendelico) are on github. There are also valid reasons for not putting your code on github, so I can see the benefit of having two homes for things.
I'm less clear on the benefit of having a named user for all github stuff though. Mostly, devs put stuff up under their own account name so that they get notified if anyone's submitting a patch etc. If the wiki could list all known Pyra coders with github accounts, it should be relatively easy to find things.
@Luke-Jr i think it's fine to have both githubs. it's better if all the official-looking names are taken by us anyway .
if we want we can convert one of these into an organization:
Transforming an existing user account into an organization
Is your company or open source project using a shared GitHub account? Converting it to an organization is cake.
Log in one final time and click Manage Organizations in the Switch Context dropdown on your dashboard. Here you can turn your shared user account into an organization. Just click the button and follow the instructions.
Apologies then, I had misunderstood what you are offering. Sounds like a worthwhile thing for developers to add to, it they want to make their projects easier to find.
