Release Dungeon Master / Chaos Strikes Back / etc for Pandora :)

No I haven't tried any other custom dungeons yet.

There is a large list of custom dungeons here:

http://www.dungeon-master.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=23916

The current version of Conflux (AFAIK) is 3.5 Beta 6, available here:

The version on the DM Encyclopedia seems to be outdated. Please note I would not recommend it for players who haven't played DM or CSB before because it is very difficult.

On a scale from 1-10 I would estimate (just from memory, it's been years since I played most of these):

2: Eye of the Beholder 1

3: DM, EoB 2

6: CSB

8-9: Conflux III easy mode (default characters)

???: Conflux III difficult mode (less/forbidden guild characters, turn on hard mode in Room of Fate)

Also my progress in Conflux is not very far I think, so this counts more as an initial impression.

I would guess the door opening speed was probably mostly due to the floppy drive. I can't remember the PC version of DM having noticeable loading times (I played it on a 486 I think).

Hi

Thanks for the link this DM site, nice one :)

Thanks for this, Finally got round to trying it last night. Dungeon Master was the main reason I bought an ST back in the day and my previous attempts at playing via Hatari hit trouble with the touchscreen being out of alignment with the game ( running from MiniMenu ).

Can't wait to try out the custom dungeons too - never realised there was such a Dungeon Master community. Train journeys have just got a lot more interesting though might have to do without making my own maps on the way as that would be far too geeky.

Hi Fireball,

thank you for doing this conversion. Your conversion of DM was one of the main reasons I ordered a Pandora (I only ordered it this weekend after watching Ashens video).

My friend had it on the ST, I had an Amiga it wasn't released until the following year I was so jealous.

Again many thanks, I look forward to killing mummy's with doors :)

Muhahah many thanks for making this available. Such a blast from my past :D

I've just saved a night out boozing because I forgot to go out last night!

Great way to stress test the Pandy's keyboard. I've just got all my guys up to artisan on all their levels thanks to worms and mushrooms!

Does anyone know if the rope trick to raise ninja levels work with cbs?

The trick is when even if you don't climb down a hole you get ninja exp for it. I've just spent ages climbing nowhere and still no level raise :(
