Ok then, here is the full fixed version of the game:

- 1 or 2 Player support using Left/Right or A/B for 2nd Player
- Added Credit line :D
- I added Volume Control as i found the music rather loud. I was considering improving the graphics too but its your project in the first place ;)
- Use Menu Button to start game

Thanks for the opportunity to get into this. If you need help with anything else, let me know.

Please go ahead! I was about to ask for your permission to do the same. :) Is it okay for you if I put it on my page?

Ill mention your name in the game description if you want.

Also, I got an answer from SplinterGU about the controls, and got this link : http://forum.bennugd.org/index.php?topic=737.msg10357#msg10357
Seems to be just what you suggested doing, a library which contains the button functions.

If you need help with anything else, let me know.

If you happen to stumble upon any info on how to use the touch-screen, that would be useful. I am going to have a look at the official forums and the wiki first though. Might already be something there.

Its up: http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/wiz.cgi?0,0,0,0,37,199

Hope you like my new RubberBox :lol:

The touchscreen is a certain device, if i remember correctly, the C coders use some /dev/ device to access is, but i dont think Bennu supports this yet.

Edit: Yes, put it on your page, no need to credit me. And congrats for your Wiz :)

I uploaded the Joystick library to the archive. Its pretty much like the sample, besided i use JOY[UP] instead of jkeys_state[_JKEY_UP] (im lazy when it gets to typing vars in :) )
and its ready to include and use.

Nice! I just had a look and it should work perfectly. Expect my other games to be ported to the Wiz soon as well. :)

I just tried it with one of my other games, but I seem to have another problem. If two keys are pressed at once (for example, if I press both LEFT and UP to move diagonally left and up) it doesn't register any of them. It seems the Wiz has special values for Up-Left and so on when looking through the examples. Do you think it would work to add a part which substitutes LEFT and UP for UP-LEFT if it registers both?

Works for me. I think its your

if (JOY[UP])
...
end frame(0)

change that to end and try again.

I will release a game tomorrow where you can check the code

Edit: Then again, i can release it as Beta right now :)

I dont think the frame(0) is the problem. Without it some collisions won't register. But in the other game I am trying to port, I don't use them. The control code simply says :

if (JOY
) x+=-5; end
if (JOY
) x+=5; end
if (JOY[UP]) y+=-5; end
if (JOY[DOWN]) y+=5; end

But I will have a closer look at it when I get time. It's probably easy to fix.
