Hi. I am soon to be ordering a gp32 and was noticing many folks port games for it. I have a few I think would work well for it, and wondered how one ports a game over? I am amazing noone has ported PIRATES! over to GP32 yet, Or Shadow President. I'd love to play those on it.

Can anyone help me reach that goal? I know I'm new, so I thank you all for your time in helping to answer this. It's probably a moronic question, but be kind, I'm learning here.

you need the Source Code of the Games to be able to port them.....

Pirates! is on several systems which are emulated on GP32, that's all I can suggest. From memory, it's on Commodore 64, Atari ST and NES. (there's a Genesis one too, but wait til that emulator improves). Also I'm not sure on the ST one, but I think I saw it when I was browsing for games 2 days ago.

As for Shadow President, never heard of it, sorry. I'd check out ST games for that if anything...it sounds 16-bittish.

Civilization is a great game! Thank you everyone for the info on Pirates, will definately look into that. As for the game Shadow President, it came out for the PC only, but would make an awesome port. Heres some info on it:

Another I would love to play is another PC only game named Floor 13. Anyone remember that one? More info on that here:

Heck, I might even be willing to paypal someone able to port both to the GP32. Someone said if simple, it can be re-written? I am working with a gaming company who wants to make freeware, even for the GP32. IF they take a game that has everything packaged into a single .exe, how would they make something like that an .fxe file? See, I explained to them the GP32 is a fantastic system, and a great community. They agreed it would be nice to see a company put out something for that system alongside the PC.
