External Hard Drive?

Speaking of storage on the SD cards... what are the odds that we'll be able to concatenate the storage so that its seen as only one drive? It would make it much easier for multimedia purposes.
Do you mean like a software RAID? If you did that you'd need to always keep the memory cards together.

Well I was thinking as a JBOD combined to be seen as one drive by the OS, which would mean you could replace the cards, but RAID0 would work as well, if I got two 16GB or even two 32GB cards I wouldn't be replacing them anytime soon.

so all emulators on one card etc, then have SDs with
SD01 - NES games -8gb
SD02 - SNES games -8gb
8gb each for NES and SNES games?! All the SNES and NES games ever developed COMBINED is far less than 8gb... I think.

Yep. :)

You always add space for porn ^^

Wouldnt that create stains?

Good point! Any chance of the Pandora case being stain-resistant?

16GB SDHC are about 70 dollars nowadays, I've seen 32GB USB sticks for less than 80 dollars.

To tell you guys the truth, I'd get the Pandora for media playback, specially x264 in .mkv containers. So I'd need at least 40GB to feel comfortable enough. Sure, I do like the emulator part, but the media playback and PDA functions are much more appealing to me.

Can a PC even see an ipod as a regular external drive?

I'm sure at least 4th gen and older ipods could never mp3 files just dragged and dropped.

You can't drag and drop MP3s and have the iPod read them, but you can set them up so they can be used as extra, portable storage. The Pandora should be able to (read: I'd be very surprised if it couldn't) use the iPod as an external drive, and it should be powered by the iPod battery. (As long as we make sure that the iPod doesn't try to charge itself using the Pandora...)
