Release Fbreader : Free E-Book Reader For Pandora

Thanks for FB Reader zx-81!

And I don't know if it will be of use to anyone but I use evince (office - Document viewer) to read PDFs and it works fine for me. It's slow for magazines but fine for books.

OMG ... And then a hero comes along (forget the rest of the words)

Excellent - Thank you

As always, i upload zip/pnd on my blog and then to dl.openxxx & apps/pandora.org.

But on my blog it's always the latest/fixed version.
Oh that's cool :)

I like it when atomicthumbs posts on Pandorapress.

(I'm finding motivation difficult without hardware, but that should be remedied this week. Then I'll be trying every single release. Sorry for off-topic).

Nice, think about 90% if my n810 use has been FBReader. Was ensaddenated when people said how hard it was to port. Now I only need a couple more months or a couple thousand more cancellations.

^ Yep, I use my N800 mostly for ebook reading too nowadays. FBReader is just awesome, because you have so many options to tweak for a perfect experience. Flipping pages and rotating the screen with a single button press comes in handy too. No need for custom kernels to rotate the screen and rotate it back when you are done with reading.

Can anyone advise if this will read ebooks in CHM format

If not, are there any other options on the Pandora

- Thanks

I forgot to say thanks for the application, I delighted to see the non games apps as well as games and emulators

Prefect, it appeared in selection, and displays files correctly, but the program is quite unstable, it fails time to time - after click on icon, sometimes after while. Does it work stable for you?

I use it for .pdb files, on upgraded pandora image (sudo opkg update;sudo opkg upgrade several times since I get pandora). disk is not full, other thinks works fine.

I tried to use it also with latest image+kernel from sd card and it also unstable, but not that much.

The version i put on the pnd is the one available on http://www.angstrom-distribution.org
I may try to re-compile it myself to see where it crash ...

Thanks for this ZX-81! I have 100's of ebooks in .pdb on my old Palm PDA that just found resurection on my new handheld. I'm surprised I hadn't heard of this program before as it supports so many formats.:)Congratulations on being the one to make it work on the pandora!:)

I've only had my unit for a week now but I gotta admit I'm hooked:)
