The concept is pretty good, really like it. But maybe it is an idea to make a kind of overflow animation from blue to yellow. And how about a minimap?

Excellent, I'll add it to the list. Did you try the, 'Y', button ocean view or do you mean like a small world view copy of it at the top like in defender so you see everything at once?
