Getting F-200 Out Of Usb Connected Mode

MrTAToad

Still Fresh
How do you get the F-200 out of the USB Connected Mode - without having to switch the machine off, take out the USB cable and then switch it back on ?

i guess its different from the f100 then just to check you dont just press x or b
Pressing X or B doesn't do anything, unfortunately

You can try unmounting the drive first in Windows/Linux/OSX. This used to crash my F100, but maybe they fixed it with the new firmware?

You have not to "securely remove" the device in Windows.
I think you mean you have to use the "Safely Remove Hardware' option - it still stays in USB Connection mode unfortunately.

Have you tried plugging it in and out again?
Oh yes.

So, to recap :

Safely Remove Hardware does not take the F-200 out of USB Connection Mode
Neither does taking the cable out and then back in.
No button combinations work either

Only switching off and taking the cable out works.

This new firmware seems to have topped 3.0.0 in terms of customer satisfaction :-]
It makes testing programs a real pain.

mine is working - 512mb Kingston microSD in a converter - right click the drive and chose eject (windows xp)

EDIT: Not using the GP2X cable - its still in the box...

chose your "C" drive first to make sure the flash drive is not in use, once you have done the eject pull the USB cable and hey presto back in the menu ;)

I'm using the standard cable - could be the problem, I suppose...

Unfortunately having to disconnect, switch off etc, does make development very problematic

Mine does not work on Windows, hangs at the usb connected screen as well, works well on Linux box though.
