GP Quake

Would a port of Quake ever be possible? I think the quake1 engine is open source these days, and supports resolutions down to 320 x 240... Obviously it uses a lot more polygons than Doom (which is mostly sprites) but could the Quake engine ever be ported over to the GP32?
 
Probably not, it uses lots of floating point calculations. There are hundreds of threads on this already, look at those for more info.
 
there is a port which runs really slow but it hasn't been optimised, apparently theres a different version which if ported would run much faster. BTW I wouldn't try to run the current quake port, I think it only runs on a 32mb smc and you need to compile it yourself.
