I'm not an electronics whiz by any stretch of the imagination but, after seeing some of the mods for the GP2X like adding an internal USB port and things like that, I started wondering what would be involved with adding an internal watch battery CMOS. If the GP2X could keep accurate date/time then Qtopia would really become an immensely useful app and turn an already awesome PEP into an unbelievable PEP/PDA. I've seen that there are similar threads for the GP32... any thoughts?

Hmm... I don`t really know much about hardware either, but I think you could provide a serial channel of the processor with clock data from a realtime clock. Maybe that would work. I don`t know what to do with that data though. I would assume, that there is some sort of a driver that can process that data as system time then. Would be cool.

damnit. Can we find out somehow? Would be really interesting.

I believe that a realtime clock was put into a gp32 by...well damnit, I dont know who did it. We can just say nigel brown (who has since disappeared?) probably made it..

sorry for being so vague and probably wrong but thats the best I can do for now
