In another thread there was a question about size comparison with other portables. Prophet already did this in his excellent review on Retrogames but his picture is missing some portables.

So here are some more pictures of sizes compared with other portables.

That's an interesting collection, there are a few on there I don't recognise though-any chance of a sort description of each?

Should have thought of that in the first place.

From top to bottom, left to right:

Column 1: Microvision (MB), Bemani (Konami)
Column 2: WonderSwan (Bandai), GP32 (GamePark), NeoGeo Pocket (SNK), NeoGeo Pocket Color (SNK)
Column 3: Pokemon Mini (Nintendo), GameBoy Color (Nintendo), Game.com (Tiger)
Column 4: Supervision SV100 (Hartung spiele-berlin)

The big red thing on the second picture is a Nintendo Virtual Boy

Now that collection looks like my mine you even have a quick shot. super vision. and a game.com I thought i was the only person on the planet with those

And here is a shot of the GP32 compared with some of the smaller normal (non handheld) consoles.

and because I couldn´t resist a picture of the GP32 compared to one of the largest cards

This thread makes me want to buy: a full size NeoGeo, a Pocket Color and a wonderswan. Thanks for that now ill have to waste my money. :D

mega-jet? what the heck's that?
is that the thing they had on airlines so you could play video games on a monitor in the seatback in front of you or something? (vaguely remember hearing about)

man all these other weird systems.. supervision, the konami thing.. i have to do some internet research, it's all pretty interesting.
you've got quite the video game museum, leech! take some more pics of your collection, I'd love to see them!

--btw--
wonderswan is an unwieldy looking console! And where's your atari lynx!!
also, that game.com design is a freakin' ugly looking device.. very 1970's "we have an electronic LED calculator" look. very interesting though.

The mega-jet was indeed used by JAL to entertain their customers. After they stopped the consoles left over were sold.

The new lynx was already in Prophet´s shots so I didn´t include it. As for the old lynx model, it has to be *somewhere* in my game room ;)

I will put up some more picture of the more interesting items in my collection.

So you already have the NeoGeo-CD? ;)

Strangely, the only Hand held I haven't seen in these piccies is the Game Gear, which happens to be the only hand held I have (until my GP32 arrives, anyway).

Oops, I just knew I missed something.

Maybe later I will put up a new picture on my webpage *including* the GameGear.

damn thats a collection, its making me seriously consider moving up my console collection plans :)

ahhh, f that, just wait for a genesis emu for GP32 -- it's not too much longer now (I predict 3 months at the most...?) that's just a guess of course. but judging my all the activity in the scene lately..!

nomad's cool but batteries get sucked away quickly, sucks carrying all those carts around too...
