Here's a couple of snippets from emuboards should make most people happy!
(all from Reesy of DrMD)
-----------------
Zip support is now implemented. If a rom is stored in a zip file, the long filename stored in the zip is used as a reference for the game in the rom menu. Otherwise if the rom is not compressed the CRC of the rom is checked against an internal database in order to find a long file name. If either of the methods fail the short filename is used ( dos 8,3 format ).
The new menu is finished as well with just the save states to do. The save state browser will show animated previews of the saves as seen in Fgen. But DrMD save states will not be compatible with Fgen saves states, this is basically because it will be a royal pain in the ass to do and I can't be bothered.
I have not made any changes to the actual Genesis emulation, once I've got the boring UI crap out of the way I will start work on this again.

Uncompressed save states are now working. I've just got to add compression to them and they're done. Then its just a case of tiding up everything before making another release.
Thanks for everybody's support

I just finished a useful new function. The emulator now remembers the last rom and last save state you used and the next time you start DrMD, the emulator will ask you if you want to continue your game. If you select YES the emulator will load the rom, then the save state and off you go. ( You can tell I'm a lazy bastard can't you smile.gif )
