someone tell me how ths works:

I pay for a 512k broadband connection and recently my connection went down for some hours(nothing unusual here). But when it came back on I now have a 2.3mbs connection!!

So heres a big thanks to my isp or some dumb telecoms engineer whos reconnected things back up wrong. Super speedy goodness!

Ive checked my account and are still being billed for 512k of course moraly I should let them know.Yeah like thats going to happen!!

This happened on my isp when they where adding the new lines. They gave it us for a few days only then put it down to 768k (faster than it was originally). Also my connection panel says im connecting at 2mb bit im not.

well comcast here in the states is actually make their isp faster to compete with dsl so 256kbps will get 384kbps and people with the more expensive will see a 50% increase with 4mbps to 6mbps and 768kbps upstream. and i have comcast... so i'm hoping we have the faster one, but i doubt it <_<
