Hey guys I am starting out my studies in IT and we are going to programm in Ocaml.

Since I would like to use my Pandora in class, can someone please tell me (best step by step) how to install Ocaml to the Pandor. I tried some stuff but I cannot seem to figure out how to do it.

Hope you guys can help ;) but I know the Pandora Community is strong and full of programmers so there has to be someone out there able of helping me

Thanks in advance

Patrice

Also, installing under Slackware is easy.
Does Eclipse work in Slackware?
Well for fun I got netbeans working very slowly on the Pandora.. Since Eclipse is 10 fold more of a resource hog I doubt it would run well. Speed isn't as much as the issue as system ram.. 512MBs just isn't enough for those resource intensive IDEs.

No it just stops it from crashing.. it will be still slow..

Indeed, Netbeans is too slow.

Also, there is no ARM Eclipse package for Slackware. I looked around, seems the best way would be to compile it from sources.

Actually, it's the contrary.
You have it running on the Pandora?
Nope, but NB runs slower than Eclipse on PC (no plugin).

Actually, it's the contrary.
How should I go about compiling it for ARM?
There's some tuto around, but i found none complete, also it would be a waste of time.
Waste? How? I really like it and would love to have it on my P

Odd Eclipse runs worse on my Linux PC then Netbeans with a bunch of plugins..
