Lifespan Of Li Batteries

[You might also want to look at compressed air cars, they have them in India and they seem to work quite well.

This is the famous MDI air car who after years of not going into production has been bought by TATA and still doesn't look like it's going into production... I almost went to the MDI factory 2 years ago to get more info - it would be awesome tech if it works and some of their concepts are quite cool. Still think converting a small car over to full leccy power is the best option though...

Air power will never be usable for BIG power applications,
because of inherent inefficiecies
When you compress air it heats
If you don't have PERFECT insolation around the air tank,
when it cools that the first inefficency
When air de-compresses it cools (=less pressure)
That's the second inefficency
20-30% loss
Have you ever used an air tool "hard"
Gets mighty cold doesn't it? (looks for gloves)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friday_(novel) nice a Heinlein that I think I might not have read!
I take it you've read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Job:_A_Comedy_of_Justice
Depends. What universe are you from?

Oh no! You're not the [gasp!] author, are you?

(for the above to make sense to non-heinleinians -- which in itself is a reference to John Varley's mucho excellento "the Golden Globe" -- extensive knowledge of Heinlein's more eclectic novels, such as "the Number Of the Beast", "the Cat Who Walked Through Walls" and -- to a lesser extent -- "Time Enough For Love", is recommended, if not obligatory)
