I wonder if Pyra would be able to read Memory stick Pro Duo in SD card Slot? It would let us to put 2 micro SD card into 1 slot, that would be great! Like two 128 gb micro sd card

As Neelix has already answered...you can't and I wouldn't see the need to because 128GB x 2 and then multiply that again by 2 (total of 512GB) is overkill (plus another 128GB in the microSDHC/SDXC slot), imo.
And we're only talking about 128GB cards here. The 200GB cards are officially out now.

If you really must then I'd suggest you put 512GB in each slot and then a 200GB in the microSDHC/SDXC card slot.

AND...if that's not enough, just plug your 3TB (4TB, if one exists) portable external hard drive in.

Lol only 128 Gb per slot will be enough for me, in fact I was thinking about put different things in different cards to have something more organized. I'm not looking for the biggest storage ever :p

For exemple Ps1 & Psp roms on a card, Sega's rom on another one, etc... but having access to each every time, not to have to change the card. It's only a lazy man thought.

Sadly, the pro duo is a Sony specific memory card, so only certain devices can take that size card. I actually have one of those for my PSP, and it's probably the best single accessory ever released for it. I wish there was a similar item for the Vita, but due to it's memory card size, it's very unlikely.

Periodically I go through the exercise of tallying up the total theoretical storage space that the Pyra could have WITHOUT any external cables or devices hanging off of it.  I.e. maximum storage while still portable and 'pocketable'.

The largest SD cards have been static for a long time now at 512GB.  MicroSD is stuck at 200GB.  I suspect that these will eventually move up, but right now the demand for the components needed is more in SSD devices.

So... using this for the USB 2.0 ports too:  http://www.amazon.com/elago-Mobile-microSDHC-Memory-Reader/dp/B002HGFKR8
2 SD slots at 512GB each
1 internal microSD at 200GB
2 microSD in USB 2.0 ports at 200GB each

Total:  1624 GB or 1.6TB of local, mobile, battery run, pocketable, no cables or extended dongles.

Someone do it just so that ED can advertise that it -can- do it.

Yeah, for a quite expensive price!

Well 512GB SD cards can be had for around $400 each, and 200GB micro SD cards can be had for around $190 each, so that would be about $1340 (plus tax...) for the storage, almost $1/GB at that point. We were so preoccupied with whether or not we could, we didn't stop to think if we should! :p

Didn't Victorinox produce 1TB usb drives? Also, I think the Pyra has an otg port? You can get OTG flash drives.

All of those are physically too large to fit my criteria.  The sum-device with all storage plugged in must be truly portable (no cables) and still fit in my pants pocket.  Those 1TB USB drives are gigantic, and OTG flash drivers require cables.

I have a couple of the elago microSD to USB adapters.  They only protrude from the Pandora by about 5mm, which still fits into my somewhat arbitrary requirements.

If the solution allowed it to sit on a desk, just use a DASD RAID tower and storage=money.

There are cableless OTG flash drives. Though I am unsure if they meet your arbitrary requirements.

Or OTG adapters that aren't cables and would be ideal. Depending on the size of the pyra and positioning of the port you might find something.

Very cool - one of those microUSB to USB right angle options plus a tiny microSD USB adapter could raise the theoretical mobile storage on a Pyra by another 200GB and still be pocketable.  So - 1.8TB theoretical maximum?
