Hi don't jump on me if its a stupid question in your opinion but i was wondering whether u could modify a current GP32 by addind small amounts of ram to it and also chips to give it a larger processer? If it is a stupid question then plz do not literally crucify me and blacken my name on this forum.
thnx

i dont mean anything drastic like a 256mb ram or a 1 GHZ processor i mean like addin an extra 50mhz to it to speed it up.

yep, its already been done, the thing is, the bios would need to be altered to utilize it, and the progs would have to be altered to make use.

There would probably be some unseen ramifications too, but don't ask me, im not a programmer...

preocesor, I dont think, but there is guides on a up to 64 meg ram upgrade, if you can solder good enough

could you post more info on the battery light color mod? I didnt know bout that one
and you should never use that Mr Spiv site, its been dead for months

i do not really know anything about modding but if i were to take it to a specialist PC repairer do u think they would have the slightest idea on wat needed to be done?

it was mentioned somewhere , but I think the next faster unit has more pins , differant archetecture , and you would have to re-write & re-wire the gp32 and other things
for example
a certain pin on our chip goes to XX object
on the bigger chip, the pin thats located in that area goes to YY other object
you would have to rewire the enitre gp32
could be done in theory, but Ill go out on a limb and say no-one will do that

now, about that batery light mod...
