I am using 12.16. Are there many major changes between this and whatever is current? I was just about to step out for a bit. Maybe I can try to assist later, but I suspect that I am still using an old version because of issues like what you are running into, and I never cared enough to fix it.Just to be precise I just want Opera 12, I don't like the newer versions
Then don't disconnect bluetooth.also I disconnected the bluetooth and the pc crashed again... this is becoming a real issue
If you like Opera, it will remain forever version 12.x, after that it is just not Opera anymore... it is now based on chromium, and it lost EVERY SINGLE USEFUL FUNCTIONS it has, they are trying to add something here and there, but it is pratically dead as the browser it was.I am using 12.16. It turns out 12.16 is the current version for Linux. As I said, I will check what I have later, and see if it is working. I was sure I had seen some errors about opera when checking for other updates. I'm following with interest another fan project still not mature, based on chromium too, but they are really trying to replicate the Opera 12 experience with that newer engine: http://otter-browser.org/
In a time where almost every site was optimized for IE it wasn't easy at all surfing with Opera...I guess I missed the period of time between the late 90's and today where Opera was good.
Flash (Adobe) is there, installed from the repo, the browsers just tells that the plugin crashed... I also tried the open one, gnash (?) but nothing changed...Well, did you /install/ Flash?
It isn't by default.
I tried on Windows and it's a Flash video, but it have an advertise video with a countdown at the beginning, with a random AD... I suppose that's the source of the problems...This sounds like a html5 video (instead of a flash video) for which the video codec is missing in the browser. But I may be totally wrong with this diagnosis.
