My Wiz Broke, Replace With New Wiz Or Canoo?

I've had my Wiz since December 2009 and have played it almost every single day. There's no question I'm replacing it. What I do want to know though, is there enough of a benefit in the Canoo to justify the +$50 for it? (Assuming the $99 sale price for the Wiz @ Thinkgeek.com)

Is the emulation support/performance equal or better than in the Wiz?

Any advice you guys have would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

It's a difficult decision IMO:

There are rumors that the wiz currently being sold at thinkgeek has A LOT of troubles with some emulators, especially pocketsnes and stuff. I don't know what the current state is, but in fact, some emulators just crash with the thinkgeek wiz. So from that point of view, i'd go for the caanoo. But on the other hand, there are much more emulators available for the wiz...

I saw some commentary about that on here. My current wiz is from Thinkgeek. Of course though it was ordered in Dec 2009. But it came from there nonetheless. Aside from any obvious hardware issue (squeaky buttons) I wonder if the emulator performance side of things is more attributable to user error than anything else.
