Roms can be in either format and this depends on the GnGeo2x romrc config files.
These configs should be checked against your rom files in the .zip, use "wordpad" to open these files and have a look.
A config exists for every rom supported (Ex. King of Fighters 98 - gngeo2x\romrc.d\kof98.rc)
If your roms dont square up when you check .rc config then use "clrmame" to correct them.
" things i have set up the roms and put them on but still aint showing up and 2 as soon as i open gfx program it vanioshs thjis is rather frustrating
The arcade emulators are the hardest to setup of all GP2X software. However, they're rather easy once you get a hang of it, so don't give up. The graphics dumper is a command-line program, here's how you call it:
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt
Then put the dumper program on your desktop, and in the command prompter type
cd Desktop
Then type whatever the dumper's readme.txt file asks you to, then hit the Enter key.

PS: take the time to proofread your posts, it's kind of silly to have four spelling mistakes in a one-row post.
