I have finally come across a working Beats of Rage for my GP2X-F200 Mk1 as the initial version I had tried within the GP2X Archives (http://archive.gp2x.de/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,20,2302) kept on crashing at the character selection screen. The only mod I had tried and worked flawlessly is the original Beats of Rage pack (http://www.gp32x.de/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,11,527).

OpenBoR v3.0 Build 2191 can be downloaded from the following:-

CODE

I do not know if this works for the GP2X-F100 as I do not own one so it'll be great if someone can do the honours. :D

Dropped a message on the Lavalit board requesting to clean the code so the menu would not overlap the key letters. They may have it working by this weekend.

Awesome! Will give it a whirl when it's available. :)

I have been using build 2227a; it seems to work fine.

Aside from the overlapping text, the mouse cursor is visible in the mod selector.

However, a more major issue for me is the diagonal controls; it only partially works. Directly pressing the diagonal direction works, but when holding another direction before going diagonal, the results are a mixed bag.

- Holding Right, then pressing Down would result in the player just moving down; same goes when holding Left, then pressing Up.
- Holding Right, then pressing Up would move diagonally, but when letting go of Up (while still holding Right) would result in the player to stop moving; same goes when holding Left, then pressing (and letting go of) Down.
- Holding Down, then pressing Left would result in the player just moving Left. (The opposite works okay.)

(I have a F-200 mkI with Open2X DR7.)

@bman: I remember you posting in the Lavalit boards about the previous diagonal issue.

I've been having that control issue for a while. I'm not even sure what the last build was that controlled correctly and worked with most mods.

I think it started when SX tried to make some new remappable controls. Last I heard he was gonna revert the controls back to how they were before they were fully mappable and was asking what should be the default configuration. some mods use a button for an "attack 2" I think.

openbor is a lot of fun with some of the better mods. battletoads has always been a favorite. in some ways i like it even more then the original nes game.

A new version of OpenBOR is now available. Now it's on version v3.0 Build 2322 SecurePAK Edition.

Enhancements:
* RAM Statistics are now extremely accurate on Consoles.

Fixes:
* PAK mods now work 100% when used with SecurePAK Engine Edition.
* Memory corruption was found in menu and resolved.

Enjoy!
