Why would you overdump that? Isn't a normal dump sufficient?

... and be the 512KB overdumped version, rather than the smaller 256k kickstart that some have tried unsuccessfully.

I'm 99% sure it is. Those ROMs are 512kb by their very nature, surely?

//edit : Forget that, UAE4All only works with 1.3 according to that wiki :)

no the amiga forever amiga-os-130.rom is 256 KB (262,155 bytes)

If you had actually read the original post you'd see he was talking about 2.04 and 3.1.

I have all the kickstart versions

(must) be a kickstart 1.3 image

witch is only 256Kb

do I have to join to kickstart 1.3 images together

No you just need to either find a kickstart rom online or get a dump off one from a real Amiga. Amiga forever uses the smaller kickstarts so they are no use

Heh, he is the original poster... ;)

Kickstart 1.3 needs to be an overdumped 512kb version to work on the gp2x amiga emulators, Encrypted roms such as the ones found with Amiga Forever can not be used due to... you guessed it encryption.

Not really tried anything after 1.3 myself as I never really saw the point of doing so on an OCS only Amiga emu.

As for joining two 256kb kickstarts together never had to do that either teh interwebs has all you seek,

You can get A500 versions of all the roms so theres nothing wrong with doing it on OCS only amigas.
I use Kick 2.04 at the moment so I can pretend I have an A500 +

1.3 is a lot more compatible though for general OCS games. By the way a real dump of 1.3 from a real amiga 500 will only be 256kb.

Now I feel stupid... Didn't make himself clear though.

Last I checked, you can just append a 256kb 1.3 ROM file onto a 256kb 1.3 ROM file to make 512kb 1.3 ROM file :)

Worked for me. Can't remember how to do it on Windows, but you can definitely do it with inbuilt commands. Try this at the command line if you're using Windows :

Code:
copy kick13.rom+kick13.rom newkick13.rom
[/copy]

Where kick13.rom is your 256kb dump. Failing that just PM me and I'll send you a decent version.

i think there is a /b switch thats missing (http://www.computerhope.com/copyhlp.htm)

I have contacted amiga forever about getting unencrypted kickstart 1.3 without breaking the law
my real hardware dose not have kickstart 1.3 :(
