Pandebian installation and USB Ethernet dongle?

I'm a little worried.  Will installing PanDebian on my SD Card cause anything to get wiped or erased?  I would like to install it in a separate directory on the SD Card and boot it up when needed.  Is this what is meant by loopback or direct installation?  Planning to run LibreOffice from it as well.

Second question is, how to get a generic USB Ethernet dongle to work on it?

Will you install PD inside Zaxxon or as a full OS on SD ?

If inside Zaxxon, you won't wipe anything.

USB ethernet will work once Zaxxon got the IP.

I would imagine full OS on SD requires another SD card in the other slot then?

In that case, inside Zaxxon.  Will there be enough room for PanDebian on the handheld's NAND?

OS on SD boots from left slot.

NAND is barely enough for Zaxxon, so you need a SD for PD.

Gotcha...so I'll have to buy another one and put that into the left slot.  Then Pandora will automatically boot from that?

I guess I should throw OpenOffice or LibreOffice on that as well?

Are there any good office installs that are native to the Pandora?

Install Zaxxon on the new SD card, put the PD .pnd in it's /usr/pandora/apps , plug the net and go for it.

Yup, Libre Office works fine.

Can PanDebian actually be intalled to be booted as a standalone operating system (without doing it manually)? What is the advantage?

I thought it to be nice to run it from the Pandora's desktop.

Yes. You'll have a full distro, like a PC.

And it's actually also possible to run it from the Pandora's desktop.
