Hello.

I would like to see Pandora in the Open Source World Conference. The event is on Malaga, Andalucia, Spain.

I think it could be a great opportunity for Pandora to be showed on a big event in Spain.

The event happens in 20, 21 and 22 october 2008. I could be a volunteer for the Pandora place and able to find someone with a enough level of spoken English to help.

I'm a member of OpenPandora.ES team and I could find help for translating to Spanish all the marketing stuff to be showed there.

There's an association in Malaga that maybe can be interested on help you too, it's called Linux Malaga (http://www.linux-malaga.org).

Here's the URL: http://www.opensourceworldconference.com

Regards.

It would definitely be good to improve spanish relations. have you seen gp32spain on the pandora? euch, not a pretty sight.

I haven't seen it, but if relations are bad then I don't think turning up to the show with a half-assembled Pandora with an incomplete OS would particularly improve them...

hm, maybe "pandora" is a terrible insult in spanish? like that japanese car whose name means "wanker" in spanish?

This thread turns into a discussion of the GP32Spain situation a couple pages in. Speciffically, this post by Craig details why the Spanish community is less than thrilled with him (and the Pandora, as it is his project).

Basically, it all boils down to Craig being (brutally) honest about his dealings with GPH and the mistakes they've made, and some members of the Spanish community somehow taking that honesty as a personal insult.

Too much offtopic...

Can someone from the OpenPandora Team reply me about this? Maybe Pandora could be showed in the OSWC in some way.
