looks like a DNS ... whatchamacallit.

Interesting. Whatchamacallit is in Mozilla's dictionary, but DNS is not.

Something is definitely very wrong. Here at the office, http://pandorapress.net works, www.pandorapress.net does not. VNC back to my home machine (something I'm not supposed to do from the office, but who'll know? ;) ) both pandorapress.net and www.pandorapress.net are failing for different reasons.

This definitely looks like a DNS hack or something. My office proxy has probably cached the DNS for pandorapress.net so I have no problem getting to it, but anyone refreshing the entry from TLD will get the new IP.

According to whois.net, the entry was just updated today. My guess is that the domain expired and either a squatter grabbed it before atomicthumbs could renew or it has simply (temporarily) reverted to his domain providers default search page.

It was renewed this morning for another year, the question is, who renewed it?

it's all gravy for me, works from work, works if i ssh into my mini-nas at home and browse from there (it's definately not a cached dns). works off my phone and pandora perfectly well too

Could someone post the IP of pandorapress?

Then I'll just add it to my /etc/hosts then it works for me again, no matter what is wrong with the DNS. :D

Can't get on no matter what address I use, hope the site's not down for long :(
DNS seems to have changed, or something wrong with the host. If people can still access it in places, the DNS is probably still propagating around the world.

74.52.105.194 is the old/correct IP address for pandorapress.net. Add it to your /etc/hosts or C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts files as appropriate.

A lot of domains are hosted on that IP. The actual domain you're trying to get to is included in the http header which the server uses to know which domain you are actually looking for. Going straight to the IP address, this header is not populated, so it doesn't know where you actually want to go. That's why putting it into the /etc/hosts works: you can enter the proper domain and it will be translated accordingly, but the proper header is still populated.

Incidentally, this is how I figured out the IP: from another domain I knew was hosted on that server.

If it is, it worked.

When I go by name, it seems to be trying to redirect to dp.000.in (using OpenDNS).

Same here (all counts)

Error message for Chrome:

Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to dp.000.in

Suggestions:

Go to dpi. 000a. biz

Try reloading: dp. 000. in
