Has anyone managed to get Vay (Mega CD) working properly?

The opening intro plays fine, but it won't load past that. It's one of my fave RPGs and I'd love to be able to play it again.
Mine gets stuck past the intro as well (crc8AD80100)

Well, as usual, it just works for me using default settings.

must be some setting. I will reset to default and start over.

well, what do you know. I created a new folder, put a default install of 140c in it for SegaCD only, moved the bios', moved the CD folder, started VAY and voila, works like a charm. Then I selected options and set "save settings for current game only" to prevent future mishaps.

Thanks yet again.

I bow to you, Notaz, ruler of the GP2X realm, god of coding, master of emulation!

All hail Notaz!!!

Seriously mate, you *ROCK*

Well it hung on me several times while testing (after battles), also save states don't seem to work 100% with this game, will need to check what's getting wrong.

I only have ONE MD Game with non working saves: Psycho Pinball. (EU)
It was an (!) ROM so I think it is OK. AFAIK the HighScores should be saved automaticly but they are lost after reset. I'm glad that we have the Quicksaves from the Emulator itself. :)

Are you sure this game has saves at all? The header doesn't indicate any save areas, and I can't see any reads/writes to the usual save locations.

Well, the PC and AMIGA Version had Savestats. :D I mean the High-Score boards onto the MD Version would be useless if the Game doesn't save all the Highscrores. ^_^
But maybe it was just an quick port with Program part artifacts from the PC Versions. No real problem. :)

<_<

Surely you must realize that saving scores to a disk (ie. PC or Amiga) is a lot easier and cheaper than adding special battery backed save area on a cartridge which is supposed to be a ROM. (remember ROM = Read Only Memory)

I don't take it to serious  I know that old ROMS worked different than modern Flash-based Storage Devices. Often batteries where needed in the old Days and this was more expencive than a simple Password System or just no Save Option. :)
As long I can save with the Picodrive Quicksave Option, I'm fine.
