Is it wise to play around with the screenbuffer?
For example, once I load a gif into memory (16bbp) can I simply set the framebuffer pointer to the start of the data, rather than copying the data to the screenbuffer area?

Or something like this:

Cheers,

		Code:

	gif = loadGif('path/to/gif');
framebuffer = &gif->data;
	Or something like this:
		Code:

	u16 *myBuffer;
myBuffer = (u16*)malloc( sizeof(u16)*LCD_WIDTH*LCD_HEIGHT );
