I have a bunch of youtube files I downloaded and they are in flv file containers and I have no idea what format they are in other than flash. Is there a gp2x program that can play them as is, or do they need to be converted? If they do need to be converted, can someone recommend a freeware converter that is fast and preferably can use multiple cores to convert the videos to xvid or some file format that the gp2x can play natively? I looked around for a few minutes and I haven't been able to find any converter that's free. Some claim their free, but they are not.

Thanks,

Chris

You can try www.vixy.net for online conversion, they also have a free installable converter wich is still beta, but should work.

I use save2pc untility for windows. It is recives link to youtube (or something else) page. Untility downloads and converts file to avi playable on 2x. I watched Ultima Underworld speedruns like that
