:) Bye boys, i have a problem with emu ATARI 800 :( , (my firmware is 1.0.1).
Whem start the emu, i see the menu screen, but i can't use it , the comands don't work.
I have put all the files, bios rom, a800.gpe, games, all in the root of my sd card, but nothing. :(
Help please!!!

There are a lot of folders that you need to set things up -- just putting files in the root won't work.
Read the readme file that comes with the zip. Put the folders where stated and it'll work fine.
Good emu by the way, worth the effort of opening the readme.

Anyway, this only took a sec to find:
How to get it working on GP2X
-----------------------------

Requirements:
GP2X
The emulator (atari800.gpe)
Menu file (default.men - Explanation of what this is below...)
OS ROMs (atarixl.rom, atariosa.rom, atariosb.rom, 5200.rom, ataribas.rom -> filenames must be as shown here)
Some software: e.g.
Disk images .ATR, .XFD
Cassette images (.CAS)
Cartridge images (.BIN)
Executable files (.XEX)

Easiest install
copy the roms folder into the sd card root (See GP32 section for where to put own ATRs etc.)
copy the atari800.gpe into the sd card root

How to get it running on GP32
-----------------------------

Requirements:
GP32
Free Launcher (or alternative firmware that can load FXE files)
The emulator (Atari800.fxe)
Menu file (default.men - Explanation of what this is below...)
OS ROMs (atarixl.rom, atariosa.rom, atariosb.rom, 5200.rom, ataribas.rom -> filenames must be as shown here)
Some software: e.g.
Disk images .ATR, .XFD
Cassette images (.CAS)
Cartridge images (.BIN)
Executable files (.XEX)

To install automatically -> download and install the fpk...

To install manually -> using your favourite SmartMedia access method (gplink, usb card reader etc):
NOTE: Some people reported certain Windows based card readers corrupt the files. So the keyboard mapping no longer works...

copy gpmm\a800*.fxe into \gpmm

create dir \gpmm\a800

create dir \gpmm\a800\os
copy os roms into this dir

create dir \gpmm\a800\disk
copy atr files into this dir

create dir \gpmm\a800\rom
copy cartridge images into this dir

create dir \gpmm\a800\exe
copy tape images and executables (xex) into this dir

create dir \gpmm\a800\state
This is for state saves -> note that the saves from other builds are currently incompatible. I may fix that, but will break current format...

create dir \gpmm\a800\menu
This is for the keyboard mapping (see later for how to create custom ones)
Copy gpmm/a800/menu/default.men into here

Run A800[e|l].FXE where e is cycle exact, l is standard. Standard starts in 132MHz by default and cycle exact in 165MHz by default.

edit: my bad.

Thank you, but nothing, don't work =°|

repeat i have the firmware 1.0.1, is very strange, =°| i read the readme, i have tried but when appear the menu the emu freeze.

That info above is only for the GP32 version.

This is for the GP2X:

0.8
Merged GP2X and GP32 versions (mostly)
Added ZIP file support
GP2X:Added clock speed change
GP2X:Fixed crash when displaying onscreen keyboard
GP2X:config now go in /mnt/sd/roms/a800 (i.e. move it from gpmm/a800 to roms/a800)
GP2X:Switched to 8-bit mode
GP2X:Added X and Y buttons
GP2X:Stereo works (thanks to Rlyeh again)

Do you have your a800 directory under /roms? If you don't the emu will hang just like you're getting.
