I have an old pc in my room that had windows 2000 on it and I decided to install ubuntu on it. I ordered the discs online (they're free!) and when they finally arrived I installed it. Seemed to go fine. Now, however, I am trying to setup ndiswrapper following a guide I found online and it tells me to type 
	
	
	
		
in order to login as root. However, when I try to do this it says
	
	
	
		
What is wrong? Do I need to be connected to the internet or something?
Please answer in simple windows-user terms (or explain the terms you use) because I'm new to linux.
