Quick Question - Geepee Controls

When the emulator is in stop mode, you can chose the buttons for each yourself in the Configure menu, or whatever, I've figured that much out. *Nod* So far, I'm not able to get anything else working on it. Can't set any of the directories manually, so...

@Winterkid: Put all the files you would put on your Gp32
(whatever proggies you want to try) in a folder with the
same file format (8.3, GPMM,GPSYS,GAME...), then use
makesmc to make it into a .smc file which you can use
in the emulator like an smc.

Nah, it's not working thus far. Put the Doom wad in the right place, got the firmware I had, (even though my GP32 hasn't yet arrived because the bank is taking their own sweet time with the #%@&* money transfer. FYI: Already paid $275 Canadian with shipping costs, bank transfer fees and I STILL have to pay import tax/duty.) Even the Wolf 3D fxe didn't show up. The MP3 appeared in the right place though. Had to rename it to make it work under 8.3.

Here's how it looked
SMC (file made from directory)
-GPMM (dir)
--WOLF3D.FXE
--GPDOOM.FXE
-GAME (dir)
--WOLF3D (dir)
---8/9 wolf3d files
--GPDOOM (dir)
---DOOM.WAD
-MP3 (dir)
--SONG.MP3

doom and wolf3d fxe's go into GAME.
Please realize that the emulator really is
extremely slow compared to the GP32.
8 bit systems (Nes, etc), Genesis, and Pc-Engine/TubroGrafx16
are what can be emulated at full speed, and almost perfectly, if you
didn't already know. But GeePee doesn't reflect this. Snes can be
emulated at almost full speed on simpler games with no sound.

Most games made especially for the gp32 (that includes DOOM and Wolfenstien),
work at full speed also.

So I'm just saying that the emulator is not a accurate representation of
the Gp at all. It is only actually a useful tool for developers (for testing on
the pc.).

Thanks for the help. I realise it's ultra slow in comparison which is partly why I couldn't figure out which key did what as it reacts so slowly I could only get a reaction from the s key. I mainly just want to test out the firmware flashing procedure although it seems harder to test on GeePee than it would to do it on the actual unit but it's best to make sure first. ;)
