I'm a big fan of the old computer-game Flashback and enjoyed the port of it on the GP2X quite a lot. I just recently got my precious Pandora, but I wasn't that happy with the Reminiscence port the Pandora got because of the forced stretching and filtering. But it is somehow possible to play the game without all those fancy-schmancy graphics enhancements, and just go "double pixels" like I do on the emulators?

There are a handful of releases that have the effect you describe. Off the top of my head, GINGE and Gpfce do it too. I think it's because it's an easy 'default' scaling method, whereas a plain 2x scale must be implemented specifically. I'm with you; crisp 2x scaling is always better.

The gent who ported Reminiscence, zx-81, is very approachable and receptive to feedback. You could bump the original release thread on GP32X and ask him for an update: http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?/topic/55244-pandora-reminiscence-flashback-clone-for-pandora-v0110 (bumping old threads will often get you shouted at on those boards, but in this case I think it's a worthy bump. Tell them Gruso said it was ok ;) ) Alternatively, you could comment directly on his site: http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/serendipity/index.php?/categories/141-Reminiscence
