Or, for an extra $400 bucks you get a 800mhz CPU, an extra 20GB HDD, built in cameras and an SD card slot with 30 minutes less battery life.

Looks good to me. I'm still trying to decide which UMPC to get, and this one seems atleast ok for gaming. The graphics card is really awful for a DX9 card, but atleast it should still play oldish games alright. Might even be good for woirk. ;)

didn't you read!?
IT SAID VISTA

(holds cross, garlic in vistas face)
:(
can you put xp/linux on there?
Oh ya! With Vista and 1 Gig of RAM, you'll have 200MB to play games in after the OS is loaded

At 1.5 lbs, I don't think it'd be too comfortable for extended gaming sessions, anyway...

The windows XP tablet edition is $50 less. There won't be a linux version because MS is a partner to samsung in regards to UMPCs.

I think the tiny keys would ruin most games, but the stylus would make some RTS ok.

it looks cool, but that thing on the left (joystick/mouse/whatever) looks horrible to use, very small (wonder if its analog). i guess having a stylus and hi-res touch screen makes up for the weird joystick.
