I have a data cable that came with my samsung mobile phone.. The connector on the end is exactly the same as the ext port for the GP32. This is the cable I used to flash my phone, and it is the cable that most people use to take the connector from for other GP32 projects. But since this is a serial cable that goes from the PC, and since it is a samsung product, there is a high chance that it is wired the same way as the GP32 requires. If this is the case, software could be written for the PC to push the firmware down the cable at the moment the GP32 powers on (i'm not sure of the exact technical facts for this operation, but this is essetially what happens). If this is possible people could buy these cables from samsung and flash even "dead" GP32s themselves.

The model number for the cable is:
PCB093LBE

I hope this helps.

If it's any use aswell there is actually a USB version of this cable that you can buy from radioshack. Samsung USB DataCable
