SDHC/SDXC UHS-II SD cards are out: up to 250MB/s !!!

(waiting for x86 trolls saying that x86 SoC will support higher speeds)

Baytrail z3770 can go up to 280Mb/s
According to the spec sheet it can only achieve "Up to 832Mbits per second data rate using 4 parallel data lines", and "Transfers the data in following UHS-I modes: HS and DDR50". That's 104MB/s max.Further, the z3770 only has 3 SD ports: one eMMC, one SD 3.0, and one SDIO (recommended for WLSDIO). Contrast to the OMAP5430 which has 4: one eMMC and three SDIO which operate at up to 192Mhz (192MB/s for eMMC and 96MB/s for SD)

The Baytrail has a slightly faster SD bus but you sacrifice one slot and can only use one SDIO device which is likely to be used for the wifi.

The z3770 may be better than the OMAP5 in general, but it is not for the MMC/SD interfaces.

I figured you only said it because he warned against it, but I figured you were still speaking from something you knew :p

Indeed.

But for the time being, I'll be using them in the following:
