I think for now we should just incorporate a option in our software, probably in an options menu or something:
"
What LCD do you have?
> Samsung
Taiwanese
I don't know
"
Selecting "I don't know" will bring up a solid color screen with a dotted line at the top, and some text like this:
"
The screen should be a solid color.
A dotted line should appear at the
very top of the screen, and *not*
the bottom.
If this description is correct, you have
a Samsung screen. If not, you have
a Taiwanese screen.
PRESS START
"
Incorporating this option in games will eliminate the need to have two seperate versions of the game. It'd just be a few extra lines of code to initialize the correct
values into the LCD settings.
Yes, I also don't like how they changed the LCD, because I want the BLU because the contrast is so good, you could tell what color everything is!! But I'm going to wait until maybe my birthday which is a few months out of the way from now, to see if maybe the condition improves.
