Hiya

I'd might not finish my two other apps/games by contest deadline so, it might be good idea to introduce my almost finished project Atari 800 EX with Ultimate GUI [similar to DosBox EX GUI].

Like in dosbox ex gui we have here:

- Preview screenshots

- Manual View

- Running atari in normal or atari basic mode [some games needs this]

- Pandora-specfic keys used

- Easy navigation

- Selecting any directory with games [ROMS] [still WIP..]

and additionally i've ported newest version of atari800 [v3.0.0 SVN] to use with GUI

Wow! Just wow! The current rom selection screen of this emu was not very handy, especially with long tosec filenames. I can't wait to try this new version!

Ok. Here's BETA

Feats:

- View manuals/FAQ if found in roms dir:

[eg. if game is called 'mygame.atr' then manual for it will be 'mygame.txt']

- View screenshots if found in roms dir:

[eg. if game is called 'mygame.atr' then screenshot for it will be 'mygame.png']

- Choosing ROMs/GAMES directory from GUI

- A pack of few new games with screenshots inside Atari 800 EX

http://repo.openpandora.org/?page=detail&app=atari800-app

ToDo:

- Fullscreen ScreenShots view [Donators version]

- Fullscreen Covers view [Donators version]

- SAP Player [Donators Version]

- Change atari800 exit keys [from F9 to LTrigger+RTrigger+Q]

- Loading Savestates if found for specific game [Donators version]

- Importing Manuals/FAQ [Donators version]

- Importing ScreenShots [Donators version]

- Utilize Start / Select Keys to run atari games..

- ESC key should exit emu..

Brilliant CB :)  Now, if you could only provide some love for a BBC emulator ;)

Need to find some good games for this ( not ones on other systems ( otherwise I`ll be forever comparing ))

I never used BBC Emu. Where should i start?

BTW. I have provided starting pack of newest free games 4 Atari in emu itself.. [next release will contain 3x more new and free games..]

EDIT:

BTW. To all donators, You will love auto-loading game-screen feature. If You make screenshot of a game in Atari Emulator [using F10] it will be autoloaded to GUI when exiting emulator. No need to copy screenshots from one place to another.

I don`t see 70+ games? just the same ones as in the first beta... do I have to point the emulator to another dir?

Do donators need to email you separately for the donator version? I've tried putting my config file in the appdata folder, already, with no apparent difference.

If pop-up doesnt appear then config works :D .

BTW. for now donators version will:

copy screenshot to GUI when you press F10 in emulator  :D

run savestate if found in game directory [with the same name as a xex/atr/dcm/com game] [put savestate in the same dir as games or save it as 01.sav in atari800 ex dir then it will be auto-copied to gamedir on emu exit..]

It almost looks like it's by Mystique, the makers of such quality Atari VCS software as "Custer's Revenge" and "Beat 'em and Eat 'em". lol

My mistake. I should have realised the pop-up didn't come back up. :)

cCan I ask should the GUI show every applicable Atari game format? I've quite an amount of games that don't seem to turn up in that but I can still load them up using the ordinary emulator GUI. It's not a massive problem, but it would be neater if I could see them all easily in the main GUI :)
