From the looks of it, it does everything linux+wine does, except with the clunkiness of a hacked-on replacement shell and the instability of Windows XP! Oh, and the hardware support of Windows XP, which means you won't miss a single 'unsigned device' warning!

as far as a replacement shell goes...Litestep is free and Im a total jackass and even I got it working with some awesome layouts I got off their website

www.litestep.net, some are gimmicky, others reallly do make for a far more slick interface
 
hey, Diablo! That shell sounds good. I think about switching the shell, but without my parents noticing the differences. Is there a WinXP theme for that? And are there some limitations?
 
I vote for Firefox, but I still keep IE just in case some sites dont work.
 
Firefox but keep IE for the one or two sites... I have a plug in that allows me to go "View this page in IE"... always handy :p
