hi folks,
only just discovered this device, otherwise i would definitely have mentioned it, raved about it etc.

in this device:

note the space for internal USB:

http://www.alwaysinnovating.com/wiki/index.php/Top_part

at 10mm x 110mm x 32mm, the space available is juuust big enough to fit the (rather large) Huawei K3565 3G USB modem, at 72.1 x 25.7 x 12.2 mm

dongles on the outside are always an absolute bitch. they get knocked off.

aside from the obvious advantages of being able to put in internal GPS and internal USB memory sticks, internal 3G/HSDPA USB i believe will turn out to be _the_ most important deciding factor for this device and others like it.

so - whether it's a case redesign or it's a case redesign, to place USB devices in a "protected" outside area (clip-on protective cover over the battery) or to be able to slot them inside - protecting USB dongles is ... um... important :)

ok summarising the cross-references: "lovely device, want/got one, here's some pics/videos/specs, blah blah, degenerating into 'argh! too many posts about touchbook!'" nothing about "how about doing xyz because that's what the touchbook does?" :)
