Sorry if this is bringing up old questions, but I have searched and searched and couldn't find a definitive answer to using a keyboard on the GP2X.

I would like to be able to use it while I'm am travelling, ie. I think the BOB would be too large, and it needs external power right?

Is there a way to use a keyboard that uses the 3.3V from the EXT port? With some kind of adapter?
Or will I need a battery powered USB keyboard? If so, does anyone recommend one?

Thanks for any help! :)

a keyboard should run fine from internal power, if you have a mk2 there is a 5v line on ext, if not you can still grab 5v from the inside or use a small converter.

This page says that no models have 5V.
Is this false?

This is the last thing keeping me from ordering my GP2X. Very excited about it! :)

What is the converter you mentioned?
Do you recommend any particular mini keyboards?

Thanks again.

I have one of these

It is a compact UK layout USB keyboard. It works on the GP2X "breakout" USB hub/AV board, even without additional PSU
