Hello all, I'm new to these forums and have only just discovered the online GP32 community. Up til now I have been using my Gamepark for mp3s and video files using the free divx player and snes roms. I read somewhere that it is possible to convert files from exe to fxe and was wondering how simple (If possible) it would be to convert some of the visual basic games i have made to GP32. This may be a stupid question and completely impossible but thought I would ask and see what ppl say.

Thanks

Falcon

sadly it isnt possible to convert your Visual Basic .exe files to GP32 executable files.

In order to compile GP32 software you have to code it in either ASM/C or C++

Not to mention Visual Basic's reliance on external dll's for components.

Be warned that VB is absolutely nothing like C and in fact being good at VB makes C harder to pick up.

Yep, you should totally forget about the nice IDE (integrated developement environment), the integrated compiler and the easy-to-do graphics. Quite a change ...
You will only do code in a code editor (basically a text editor, no form editor out there), then create your makefile that allow to compile your code using a special command line. To debug you have to manually search for the lines said to be erroneous. I don't even talk about pointers which are mandatory in C.
In fact it is quite about learning anything one more time, but with a trickier point of view.
