Wind-Ups is like a different OS. It looks like windows. It is a different firmware and allows you to acces programs on your gp32 a lot faster.
No, it's not a different firmware. The original was in FXE form, and the only other version runs either as part of MultiFW or from the normal GP32 menu...
It's basically a desktop with icons that lets you have faster access to programs than Free Launcher, as well as having a text file reader and address book built in.

Oh. I didn't know that. I don't use wind-ups because i don't want to change my firmware because I think i will mess up something, and also that I heard some programs don't work with it.taras posted on Sep 7 2003 at 06:44 PM said:

I've never had any problems with windups, all programs work with it.

Azure, you can download the (non-flash) FXE version from the wind-ups website (google for it) or the GXE (encrypted) version from the #gp32 channel on efnet. I haven't flashed my firmware but always use wind-ups, it's much easier and faster than Free Launcher and the GXE version does load all files correctly.
