Who's is going run the OS from the SD card?

Actually, this thread includes information that, contrary to common belief, the built-in NAND of the Pandora will most definitely last for a pretty long time. Reading it might be considered helpful under some circumstances. ;)


Since Pandora's Ångström is an open system, I guess you will be able to choose where to put for instance your swap partition pretty easily. Since I don't have a Pandora yet, I can't know for sure though, and also don't know if there might be software installed by default which inexplicably uses some esoteric place to store temporary data, so my answer might not be worth a lot more than the time it took to write it.

By stock there is no swap partition. Cant vouch for any temporary files used by individual programs, except that /tmp is in RAM.
