Hello, I was just wanting to know if there is a way to put Wimax on the Pandora either by soldering a Wimax chip inside (If that's possible, or if they're even available) or using one of the usb sticks, like these from Clear( the Wimax company I'm with) http://www.clear.com.../devices/mobile. Maybe even taking one apart and putting it inside a Pandy, if there's space inside.
So I guess my real question is would it work? Are there linux drivers available?
Or some other method of doing it?
I really just want my internet everywhere.

And please excuse me for showing my ignorance for linux and the Pandora.

At least if you use an Intel dongle there's a chance of it:

Linux has WiMax support, so if you find the right hardware, it should work.

I've googled and read a couple of threads on the Ubuntu forums. It seems like the Clear Wimax USB sticks don't work. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1243159&page=2 - The only solution if you want Clearwire Wimax on your Pandora is buying the $120 mobile hotspot thing they sell.

I would buy that hotspot...I just don't like the service. Its so flaky in my area...

Does anyone know anything about that Sprint Overdrive thing?

Since Clear derives it's service from Sprint, I doubt Sprint will work where Clear doesn't.

USB stick, yes. Soldering something to the board. no.

...So long as the dongle is natively USB 2.0 HighSpeed or you plan to use a hub (I doubt to OTG can give enough juice).
