GP2X Znes Or Snes9x?

I asked around and everyone I talked to thinks that it's OK to write your own licence, but I'm sure someone could find a loop-hole if it isn't 45 pages long and written by a lawyer! But the point is it's open source, and it's C++, so this looks like our SNES emulator :p

Thanx,
Stan

Still, having a real licence helps commercial companies distrubute your software. For example: many linux ditros will not touch anything that is not GPL compatible.

If don't care about people taking your code and close-soursing it, use BSD. (Example: MS taking BSD's TCP/IP stack code)

If you care about people taking your code and close-soursing it, use GPL. (Example: Linksys router firmware anyone ;) )

Well, also they have the option to publish it under any licence now. The licence also says you can't sell it, so that keeps Nintendo off their backs, so BSD, GPL, or any licence really that allows it to be sold is a bad idea.

Thanx,
Stan
